Sea Salt Caramel Pudding

 1 backpacker  5 min prep, 1 hour waiting time   70.5 g / serving

Perfect sweet and salty combination to finish a backpacking day!


  • ¼ tsp. sea salt
  • 3 tbsp. (45 ml) instant caramel pudding mix
  • 3 tbsp. (45 ml) powdered skim milk
  • 2 biscottis (optional)


  • Bowl to eat (you could always eat directly in the bag, no judgement here!)
  • Spork or spoon

Before trip

  1. Mix in plastic bag #1: sea salt, pudding mix and powdered skim milk.
  2. Pack the biscotti in a separate bag or container.

At camp

  1. Add ½ cup (125 ml) of cold water to bag # 1.
  2. Mix well by shaking the bag for a few minutes.
  3. Wait for at least 1 hour for the mix to thicken up. Put in a cool place (shade, cold creek) if needed to help thickens.
